INEC Bans Recording Devices in Polling Units

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has restricted the utilization of cell phones, cameras or any account gadgets by voters amid the Osun races. The Osun State Governorship decision is slated to hang on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

Prof Yakubu unveiled this on Monday at the partners meeting in Osogbo, the state capital. He said the boycott will help diminish the danger of vote purchasing and offering which he said has been another improvement among government officials and a noteworthy worry to the country.

The INEC supervisor clarified that voters won't be kept from utilizing their gadgets at the surveying units, however would be prohibited from holding their cameras and phones, once the ticket papers are issued and until the point that they cast their votes in the polling stations.
